Tomasz Ostrowski

He graduated from Wrocław University, Faculty of Law, Administration and Economics. He completed judicial training at Regional Court in Świdnica, then developed skill and gathered experience in legal profession as a lawyer in major legal office whose clients were Polish and international groups of companies. Since 2009 he has run his own legal practice in Wrocław, specializing in providing legal service for companies. In 2013 he decided to continue as a team, which lead to formation of a professional partnership under the name Adwokaci Sobolewski-Hajbert i Ostrowski Spółka Partnerska.

He has vast experience in providing legal service for companies, including, but not limited to, financial institutions. He took important and responsible part in several projects carried out by a leader company in the Polish debt collection market, including, but not limited to: obtaining approval of Polish Financial Supervisory Authority for management of securitized receivables; entering foreign debt collection market through direct acquisition of portfolio of receivables; M&A process of regulated company in foreign market; implementing new legislation in regulated company in Poland (credit information bureau), including, but not limited to, obtaining approval of data management regulations by the ministry of economy.

He has published several articles and books, including legal commentaries on: act of 9 April 2010 on access to credit information and exchange of credit data, act of 12 May 2011 on consumer credit (the latter as co-author). Lector in Higher School of Banking in Wrocław (Wyższa Szkoła Bankowa we Wrocławiu). Member of Commission of Ethics of Conference of Financial Companies in Poland – Association of Entrepreneurs. Expert in legislation.

He speaks fluent English. He has obtained Certificate in Advanced English (CAE) and completed training of legal English.

Marian Longin Sobolewski-Hajbert

Counsel. Partner.

Wrocław University graduate (Faculty of Law, Administration and Economics). He completed judicial training and passed his state exams. He was admitted to the Bar in 2009. Over the years he gained professional experience working for a law firm specialized in servicing the domestic, as well as the international financial sector, where he used his opportunity to explore theory and practice of law, professional ethics and the essence of working with people and for people.

Since 2010 he has run his own legal practice, in which not only he has been engaged in providing legal service to business entities of various sectors, but also was a success as a negotiator and litigator representing non-business clients. Since 2013 he has been sharing his passion for work, commitment, constant pursuit of perfection and self-improvement with people of the same principles within a professional partnership under the name Adwokaci Sobolewski-Hajbert
i Ostrowski Spółka Partnerska.

He has been using his practical skills to teach courses in higher education institutions in Wrocław, including such subject matters as commercial law and insolvency law.

He speaks fluent English, including legal English.

Andrzej Rajczakowski

Counsel. Partner.

He gratuated from The University of Adam Mickiewicz in Poznań and Europaeische Universitaet Viadrina in Frankfurt (Oder). 2004-2007 he was a judge apprentice in the Regional Court in Świdnica. 2007-2011 he worked in the judiciary and in 2011 he was accepted to the Bar and started his individual legal practice. In 2015 he joined the team of Sobolewski-Hajbert and Ostrowski Limited Partnership to bocome a partner.

He already gained experience in legal profession before starting the judge apprenticeship. Since 2003 he worked for a Polish-German legal and tax office, which lead to building professional relations with lawyers from the entire Germany and Austria. He handled professional translations of legal documents and reports. On the account of his participation in numerous conventions organized by Commercial Chambers of Poland and Germany he took his chance to make wide business relations with entrepreneurs from Poland and Germany.

He has vast experience in providing legal support to business enterprises, in particular investors from Germany, Austria and Switzerland in respect of establishment, as well as day-to-day legal support of business undertakings in Poland. His speciality is bankruptcy law and restructuring law, including consumer bankruptcy. He was engaged in legal proceedings aiming to liquidation of significant companies, mostly in Wałbrzych area. He also cooperates with receivers in Germany and provides advisory to Polish entrepreneurs on the occasion of their investments abroad.

Michał Rządkowski

Legal Trainee

He is currently an advocate’s trainee at Bar Association in Wroclaw, Poland. He graduated from the Faculty of Law, Administration and Economics at the University of Wroclaw in 2012. He devoted his master’s degree thesis to evidences in Polish Criminal Proceedings. Moreover, he also completed with distinction the School of American Law program, the joint project run by Faculty of Law – University of Wrocław and Chicago-Kent College of Law (Illinois Institute of Technology) in Chicago, in 2012.

In December 2013 he finished LL.M. (Master of Laws) studies at Chicago-Kent College of Law. During the LL.M. studies he had been focusing on Business Organizations in the USA, International Commercial Arbitration, and Contracts in American legal system.

In June and July 2014 he was taking part in International Business and Trade Summer Law Program organized by the Catholic University of America in Washington D.C. in cooperation with the Jagiellonian University in Cracow. This program consisted of the following courses: the Law of the European Union, Alternative Dispute Resolution, International Business Transactions and Global Issues in Intellectual Property. Furthermore, in July and August 2014 he was participating in summer school course in International Commercial Law at King’s College London.

He handles cases involving civil law, international private law and comparative law.

He speaks English fluently.

Damian Wróbel

Legal Trainee.

Graduated from Law Faculty at University of Wrocław. In June 2013 he defended his thesis on Legal Capacity of the European Union to Conclude and Negotiate International Agreements With Other International Law Entities. Since 2014 he has been an advocate’s trainee at Bar Association in Wrocław.

He is particularly interested in civil and economic law as well as in international law. During his studies he used to represent University of Wrocław as an oralist in several moot court competitions including Phillips C. Jessup Law Moot Court Competition in 2012 and Manfred Lachs Space Law Moot Court Competition in 2013.

He speaks English (including legal English) and Russian fluently.

He enjoys hiking and running in his spare time. He is also a licensed mountain guide for Sudety Mountains.
